Hi, my name is Fliss and i just want to tell you how amazing you are, and how the music you write has helped me. I was struggling with self-harm and nothing was making me happy. I'd heard 'we are young' on the radio and things, and i loved the lyrics, so i looked it up. When i first heard some nights it had, for some reason, given me hope and so i kept listening. I was still unhappy with myself and on the verge of suicide when i heard 'be calm' and 'carry on'. The songs i'd heard before were great and they made things a little easier but 'Be calm' and 'Carry on' had literally saved my life. I went on to listen to 'All Alright' and all your other songs (including things from The Format and Steel Train) and now i am a huge fan. I have recovered from my issues with myself and i want to thank you for it, i couldn't have done it without your music.

Introducing myself, I'm Janke. I feel the need to mention that I am a girl, since people who aren't from South Africa generally tend to make the mistake that I'm a guy.
Secondly. Can you stop being so friggin' adorable for one second? I'm just asking if you can. I'm not saying you should.

I feel extremely sad to mention I did not know of you guys before We Are Young. But please don't hold me accountable. Back in 2009 I was only nine years old. I think I might have heard of The Format once or twice back then, though I never could listen to songs because we didn't have a computer.
But now that I do know about you, I am really happy.
Every night the weather lets me, I sneak out when my parents are asleep and figure out songs on my roof. My friends only know We Are Young and Some Nights, in my opinion maybe two of your saddest songs, though the saddest thing about that is that they don't know what the songs mean.
Also I'd like to congratulate Fun. on their Grammys, though I don't get the best new artist thing, because you guys have been at it for years already with Aim and Ignite being 4 years old, ( is it? ) I laughed so hard at 'I have to go pee' that I had to go pee as well. Did we pee simultaneously? Nope. No, don't answer that, I'm not going to be one of those weird fans.
I'm writing to you from my house in South Africa. Currently, my mother is screaming and I hear slapping sounds from the kitchen. Don't worry , no domestic violence, we've just had a lot of cockroaches in here lately.
One day when I'm older, I hope to go into music full time. It's not easy but I'm committed. I'm already playing shows ( guitar and piano ) and hoping to perform with you guys one day.

Hey Nate, I love your music and you. You're really awesome and I think your band grows a lot. I wish I could go to your concerts but not only are the tickets sold out in my area, but I'm not allowed to go to a concert till I'm 13. Right now I'm 11. Andrew and Jack are really cool too. You guys totally rock, and I'm a huge fan.

My name is Cassidy I am 13 years old. I am in love with fun., music is the only reason I am alive. Your music has saved my life more than once, and I want to thank you for that. I used to cry every night wondering what the purpose was, then I would go on Youtube and listen to "Be Calm". Nate I love you. It would be an honor to meet you, Jack, an Andrew. I am obsessed with all of you. I went to the Raleigh concert on November 29th, 2012. I cried the whole time, and I was very front row on the left (your right). You kept stopping in the middle of songs and would smile because the crowd was going crazy. While you were singing "At Least I'm Not As Sad (as I used to be)" you came over to where I was and you stopped singing. I screamed "I LOVE YOU NATE!!!!" You then bent down and did that cute smile that you do where you stick your tongue out and winked at me, and then sang the rest of the song to me. I lost it, I did not stop crying. Nate your my role model, I look up to you and I want to be just like you and fun.. Thank you so much for being yourself and doing what you do. Also thank you so much for saving my life more than once. I love you....
