Dear Nate,
My name is Samantha and I am a very big fan of you and fun. I also really admire the lyrics you write and your amazing vocals. I also really love all your guys' songs, especially We Are Young and Walking the Dog. And it's a really great thing you guys do for gay rights and I like seeing people who really care about that and I am also in full support of it because of my sister. Keep up with the fantastic music and I hope someday I will get to see one of your concerts and I truly hope I get to meet you guys as well :)
HI Nate,I am Katey Fun. is definetly my favorite band and you are my favorite in the band. i love the song just give me a reason the duet you do with pink but when you sing is the best part. All of my screen savors are you and almost all of your songs are on my iPod. It gets better is my favorite. In my dream you gave me backstage passes to your concert and i was so happy but i was mad when i woke up. I have tickets to you Bridgeport Connecticut concert that is happening this September. I am even doing a power point for school on you :)
from your hopefully friend Katey Mae
P.S. see ya at the concert
This is to Nate if this message every makes it to him I will be beyond extactic I have adored Nate's unique voice and his amazing lyrics since I first discovered the format back when the "the first single " came out and I learned to clap in time to the song, dumb sounding my it be, but then I remember right after I first got my heart broken I heard the album Dog problems and it immediately described everything I felt from wanting to be happy and laugh about it to wanting to cry my nights away. In high school I remember being luky enough to see the format 5 times live in Orlando Florida then much to my heart break they split up. Years later I hear a song called "All the pretty girls " and I instantly knew the voice and I knew Nate Ruess was back. Then I heard Some Nights and Carry on and "big shock" I fell in love with the fun. The crazy thing about Nate's new band being named the fun was that since high school I always had described the format as simply a "fun" band to listen too. I was blessed enough to see Nate and the The Fun in San Diego while stations there in the navy and I just want him to know how much of an impact he has made on my life and my LOVE for music
Hello, Nate.
How are you doing today?
I must say that I am impressed. That you progress so fast from playing in the little town of Apple Valley to the Big Industry. You see I am writing this because I am a bit desperate. I know this really talented musician, whom loves singing your songs, and he gets gigs here in Apple Valley and sometimes in LA . . . but he needs a lift. I know you are a busy man but if you could do even the smallest thing for him it would really make the biggest difference. He just needs to be with the right people. If you have any advice or if you could be that person to give him a lift that would be an answered prayer.

Hi....Nate.....ahh......................hmm..........This is awkward and mostly silly.... Uuuggghhh.... It probably won't get to you because I'm not going to get people to vote for it...Here's the deal.... I just moved to New York city to act. I'm a 22 (about to be 23) year old. I keep listening to your album on my ipod and I'm relating to it. In other words, holy shit it's lonely here! Granted, I've been here 8 days. But I found myself living in a terrifying place for 300 dollars rent (amazing huh?). But I definitely need to find somewhere else to live.... Why am I writing this letter? I guess for some wise advice. I guess because I find myself constantly thinking, "wait, what the hell are you doing, Brittany?"
Peace, and take care--all of you guys.
-Brittany.
PS- Train rides were cool for the first 4 days. Nobody smiles! And if I smile at someone I have a feeling that they think I'm flirting. Dumb.
