Dear Dave Grohl,

My name is Robert I am high school student in the state of maine. I am writing to you not as a fan but a person. I understand you are very busy person but if you are reading this I thank you. I will try to keep this short.

I really enjoy all of your music from both Nirvana and Foo Fighters. The Point of this letter is just to hopefully get a chance to talk to you, again not as a fan but just as a person, this might be a strange letter but then again I’m sure you got stranger.

If you decide to call or email me I will not run to my friends and say oh I have Dave Grohl’s phone number or email. I don’t care that your a celebrity, famous or have money. Those are just your public figure so to speak.

All in all I thank you for taking time our of your day to read this and I hope to hear from you. It would be nice to talk to you.

Dear David,
I'm writing this letter to let you know how much you've helped me in life. Your talent, sense of humor and kind heart inspired me in so many ways you can't even imagine.
Before I got familiar with your music I've pretty much lived off of crappy love songs to ease my broken soul. Not anymore, my darling Dave. Now I listen to Foo Fighters, because you give me strength, energy and inspiration to get through this hard time I have to face right now in my life. There's a Foo song for every feeling I feel that nobody understands. I can put one of your records on and cry, scream, laugh, jump around and dance at the same time.
Your music is amazing, I know. But the fact that you are such a sweet, down to earth person makes it all that more beautiful.
So thank you. Thank you so much for everything you gave to me, for always being there without even knowing it and for helping me love again and feel again when I thought I couldn't.
I love you. Take care.
Hope to see you soon somehow.
Sylvia

Hi Dave!
I guess you're pretty busy but please take time to read this!
I know you don't know me but I know you for a long time now. I'm a big fan of Nirvana since I bought my first album when I was ten and then... FooFighters!!!Wouh! That's a fucking great band!!!! I'm sur you'll still be there in 20 years and more! I can't wait for the next album!!!
So i'm going to talk to you like a friend. I need your help!!!!
I'm a 29 years old french songwriter who's looking for musicians but people in France aren't very open-minded concerning music! So I just want you to tell me what you think about my demo and if I have my chance if I cross the Atlantic to join your country. Honnestly, I start beeing desperate but still optimistic. I want to have my own band!!!
So please have a listen on my home-made songs. Just two at this time but more are coming.
Respectfully Yours, KEEP ROCKIN'

Hey Dave,
I heard that you recorded your last release old school. I know the norm was reel to reel to master reel or DAT. What did they mix your analog tracks down to?
And do you miss those days when you actually had to know how to play something as opposed to today's music biz? Any crumb bum can get on pro tools or garage band and say they are a musician. I love the fact that you don't cut your own lawn. I despise it so much my wife took it over . Peace

Signed , old head

Dear David,
Disillusioned with the music industry and live music. Manchester in the uk has become impossible to get a show unless we bring 35 of our nearest and dearest which is possible in our home town but not further afield an this seems to be regulation across the board among promoters and gig organisers.
Can you help? We will supply our own equipment, food and we are house trained. Any opening slots going spare. We are Cat Called Dog www.facebook.com/catcalleddog

Love and best wishes
Cat Called Dog

P.s I will be wearing a black arm band in the loving memory of a time when a band could turn up and just play music.

Hi Dave,
Found this gem on the internet in which Paul McCartney mentions in an 1997 interview how he wanted to join Nirvana. I know your a fan of Macca (and friend too, you lucky bastard) so I figured you'd get a kick out of this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=k1er5b96MdU#t=1259s
My wife Anne likes you (much more than Macca) and she's hard to impress, so if you could send me an autograph for her, that would be awesome.
Yours in Rock,
Chris

Message to Dave Grohl
Hello ... just saw Sound Film city and would like to introduce some friends.
I work in the rock industry in Colombia and although I always wanted to write you because I love you, this time I do it because I am convinced that we can do good business together.
I have a company with my best friend called and we want to do ROCKANDROLLA rock history. Our country is full of excellent musicians and good rock but unfortunately sounds here just to pay and the quality does not matter for broadcasters.
contact you want to show the bands that work and others that are very talented, unite and show the world the Rock we do here.
In Colombia there is what Rock and Roll Talent and Truth, Truth

if you are interested in learning more send me an email where I can send you the information.

thanks
