Hey Krist,
Well.. what do you say to someone that's influenced your entire way of life. I'm not kidding I remember hearing feint murmurs of Nirvana since 1994, I was 4 years old man! Yet the imagery and audio still stays with me.
I grew up in a broken household and found myself becoming increasingly anti-social and introvert from a young age, the only true safe haven from ever watchful eyes and ears turned out to be my bedroom. Now we moved a lot before finally settling down in my step-dads house, but with the introduction of 3 older step-brothers things were not exactly easy.
I found more and more reason to want to hide from the cruelty of the outside world, that's when I started secondary school and with that I was exposed to the diversities of all sorts of people and alternative ways of thinking! It was there that I discovered Nirvana for the first time, it was other-wordly. Suddenly there was a form of expression for every drop of anguish, despair and self-loathing that I'd tucked away. Singing along to 'You Know You're Right' still to this day is one of the most satisfying things I have ever felt and yet I had no idea that one of the guys responsible for giving me such renewed hope had passed away years ago..
I know many like to put Kurt upon some kind of pedestal and I've been guilty of it myself for a brief time, but regardless of the fame, the drama and everything that follows if you even attempt to mention his name, I want to say I am so damn grateful for what you, Kurt and Dave created all those years ago. Like many others you're music has helped generations of young people to feel at peace with themselves and to be proud of who they are, and more importantly encouraged them to speak out when things are unjust in the world!
I discovered my own voice and have begun my own journey to find where I belong. I've been working / playing hard with a group of guys the last 2 years in the UK to try and attempt to ressurect the music scene! A crazy dream right? We've taken influences from bands like Foo Fighters, Alter Bridge and Queens of the Stone Age to name a few. Here's hoping the dream becomes a reality in the not so distant future!
I know it's a long stretch but I can only hope you see this and get in touch, there's so many things left that I want to say but I better stop before this becomes an official essay!
Keep on rockin',

It is not the music or the people, art loses its value because it is free thanks to socialism. There are no cult people who buy their records or movies being libertarian, because everything is free and art loses its value. I am Argentine, do you understand me? It is socialism that made art free, people do not value it because everyone knows the same thing. You are great but you have to let people buy what they want, not give it to you “for free” Trump!!!! I love you Dave! and Kris and Pat, I love Kurt!!!!!!!! They are my favorite band since I was 11 years old, every day of my life I listen to Nirvana, I have every album from Germany and everywhere, I have everything!!!!!! god so Perfect for me, it is everything I need in my life to live to save myself. I love them !!! every day all day... it’s perfect nirvana. I love Nobody knows I’m new wave from Argentina!!! God!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
Dear Krist,
after have seen Montage of Heck I've just thought that you were most probably the only one that loved and understood Kurt intimately during his lifetime. I didn't like that movie, just because the image of Kurt that comes out doesn't pay respect to him and his talent, but when you express your sense of guilt for those last days, there's so much love in that affirmation.
And the fact that you still dream of him, as you stated, it means that the connection isn't broken.
Due to Kurt integrity, as you stated as well, I'd like to think about him now meditating as a monk in a cave for trascending the suffering in his actual reincarnation.
I'd like to think that in some way it's like Kurt had immolate himself for purifying the karma of an entire generation.
According to buddhist wishes, may he be happy and well in his actual form.
With so much love
Andrea

Hello Krist,
This is the closest I am going to be to have some sort of contact with you, but I wanted to give it a try, even knowing that it might not even happen...What can I say? you guys were really magic, I was 9 years in 1994 and I remember exactly the moment, all the family was grieving. You were and still are very special to many of us, to me. you can be proud of what you have done, Kurt can be proud. I am 37 now and I am so much into Nirvana still that is unbelievable, listening to every acoustic song, to every new material...I even bought a Nirvana t-shirt...it seems that inly teenagers can wear that, but I wear it too, after all I was there, in a way, under the same sky. I love you and I love what you have done.
Peace¬love,
Isa
