Dear Eddie,
I'm 17 years old from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and your coming to pittsburgh in October. My dad, mom and me really wanted to see you guys! But the tickets sold out before I had a chance to buy any. The only ones left are either to expensive or not handicapped. I need handicap because my mother had an aneurism a couple of years ago and she still can't walk use her right arm and her speech is bad. I was really hoping to see you before I leave for the marine corps next year or before I die. Pearl jam my favorite band and I've been wanting to see you for years. Half the groups I like are either dead or don't tour anymore. I've probably watched pearl jam 20 a thousand times. The single video theory is watched every other day. Plus I know every word to into the wild. I play mandolin, guitar, and the harmonica so I try the best I can to play your songs. Anyway, if it wasn't for pearl jam I don't think I'd be around. You've guys have pulled me through some tough times and keep a smile on my face. Thank you for all you've done and keep making music.
Your friend,
Vinnie
Dear Eddie,
My name is Jayne. I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I'm a life-long fan. I was attracted by your voice, fell in love with your music and came to adore your integrity and dedication to your fans.
I'd like to thank you for "Lightning Bolt". I am a believer of the power of love and gratitude. I was searching for both when you released "Lightning Bolt". Since the release, the love in my life has increased as I have re-joined the Ten Club and met many new fans on FB through fan pages.
I want to thank you for opening yourself up in the words of your songs allowing your fans to identify with them.
I want to thank you for continuing to tour the country giving your fans the amazing experience of seeing your live performances. I have loved living vicariously through them.
Lastly, I want to thank you for always being there when I needed you most throughout my life. You have brought me happiness during my darkest days. You have remained the one constant during loss and change.
I can't repay you for all you've given me. I can only "thank you!"
Eddie,
I'm just shy of 19 years of age and have been listening to Pearl Jam since I was 12 when my father turned me on to the grunge era. Currently I'm actually listening to "Alive" unplugged on YouTube. Unfortunately, I wasn't old enough to enjoy the music during the time period but very much wish I could have. It's a shame the generation I grew up in and their horrific taste in music. Your new album, Lightning Bolt, just came out and I can honestly say you have become better with age. Your voice and the passion behind your songs has helped me through a lot of things in my life and it has been my wish to someday meet you and at the very least be privileged enough to attend one of your concerts. All I'm asking is that you come to the KY-IN area and perform "Black" for me! It is a classic and it was the song my father dedicated to my mother when they thought they couldn't make it through a forbidden relationship. I hope my letter gets sent to you and you read it! Good luck in all your future endeavors and I hope your family remains safe and happy!

To Whom It May Concern,
I am sure you all get these kinds of emails all the time. I signed up for the Ten Club today- the free one initially- only to find out in order to be able to participate in the event drawings you had to have been a member by yesterday.
I wanted to get tickets for not just me but for my husband. He is a Wounded Warrior with permanent back injuries and cranial nerve injuries that has left him with depth perception loss and hearing aids (he still has some hearing with them). He also will never be able to run or do heavy lifting again as being wounded resulted in permanent spinal nerve damage at his L2 vertebrae- on top of an untreated fracture towards his tail bone. He has been in the US Army for over 18 years now as a paratrooper before the sustained injuries, and is anxiously waiting retirement so he can stay at home with our children. He has been on 6 deployments and has missed his children's milestones. He has multiple awards and has been a great asset to our country. He has even turned down a Purple Heart because he felt like he didn't deserve it due to a very close friend of his, his medic, who passed away during that particular deployment during the height of the War on Terrorism. And through those times, Pearl Jam has been a huge influence to him in getting past rough times. That is why I am writing- not to gloat about what all my husband has done for the last half of his life in the military, but the musical impact to his very soul Pearl Jam and Eddie's lyrics have been to him.
I, as well, have been totally obsessed with Pearl Jam ever since they went to Nashville, TN in 2000. I am a little younger than my husband, so am in a different musical generation. The tickets sold out before I could afford them, and I had accepted after the nasty things that happened that they would never return to my home state. So, I thought I would never get the chance to see them in concert.
I am pleading to anyone who is willing to read this- to please give us a chance to be in the drawings. The reason why I am wanting to be in the drawings so badly is that I have read it has been about a decade since Pearl Jam has come to Charlotte, NC- this is the show we want to attend on October 30th. We are currently stationed at Ft. Bragg, and with me starting my graduate internship and he being full-time of course (along with having 3 children), we just cannot travel far to see them. To me and to my husband, this is our one shot. We have no idea how much longer Pearl Jam intends on playing live- but if there is anyway we could get a slim shot in the drawing for the Charlotte, NC concert- it would mean the world to us. Or even just as slim of a shot to be able to purchase tickets because we know that they sell out in just a few minutes. Thank you very much.

Hi Eddie- this letter is something deeper than the norm. I’m 53 from Sydney, have been a Fan since the early days but as we age wisdom sets sets in and sometimes we try and pull off some crazy shit! Very simple , but sometimes there is a higher calling and without trying to convince or get into silly details I just know that something as simple as coming over for a Sunday barby in a suburban Sydney backyard covered in purple from our jacaranda tree with your Family- and the band if they are free, I just know that there is some Godly connection. Don’t freak I’m not a lunatic but I just know that there is something unexplained here - my Daughter Olivia 26 and my Son Ben 24 along with my beautiful wife- just something to let your hair down - have a chat , some more Red wine and some great conversation- an escape from all the hype. Come visit during the down under tour!!!
huge fan since i was 14 love everything you and your bandmates stand for. when i think about how you stood up for thoes three boys i tear up every time. thank you and depp and metallica and many others for standing up for truth and honor! it dosent take back the years lost but you helped lead the fight to free the three!! your music is an inspiration and guide
My husband, Jeff Walsh, has courageously fought a rare form of brain cancer. After 18 months of intense treatment, His options for continued treatment are few. One of his wishes is to attend a Pearl Jam concert. I secured tickets for the 8/22/2024 concert in Missoula. I am not asking for anything monetary or for free swag. I am asking for the band to simply give him a shout out or to tell him to keep up the fight. The band’s music has provided many memories for us from the start of our relationship in the early 90’s to a final one as he attends the Missoula, Montana concert. Jeff played all of their songs on his square patch, Gretsch drums with zeal and love in the hay day of our college years. Please use your contacts to ask the band to wish Jeff well. He has no idea I’m reaching out and requesting this…thanks so much from a grieving wife of a fabulous husband. I’ll be the middle aged women bawling during the song Just Breathe! Thank you for your consideration.
Dear Eddie Vedder,
I have been listening to your music for decades (I’m about your age) and want you to know how deeply your music touches me. Your music makes me smile, cry, think, love…your voice has become so familiar it can feel like a part of me. Your compassion for others reverberates throughout and evokes positive change. Thank you for being brave and following your calling, sharing your gifts. With greatest respect and gratitude, Rebecca
Hi Mr.Vedder,
My name is Frederic, i'm from Montreal and I follow you since the beginning. I take a chance to ask you if it's possible to see you back in town for your new Pearl Jam album Dark matter. Maybe with a outside show? I will love to bring my daugther for the first time at your show. Thank again for all your magical musics!
Fred
Dear Eddie
I'm a Veterinarian here in Brisbane Australia. I've been in an abusive toxic relationship for the past year. Despite my fame only being a drop in comparison to your ocean, I too have felt the pain associated with it. Your song Corduroy has long been a favourite of mine and only now has taken on a great significance in my life. I lead a solitary life, however your song reached out like an old friend and gave me the courage to resist going back again and again. Just wanted you to know your song although decades old like me gave me the strength to move on.
Thanks Mate
