Hello Edward,
My name is Jasmin Fisher.
I have no other way of contacting you other than through fan mail.
If my name means nothing to you, that is okay.
I have been being told for a very long time that we should meet.
All I have to say is that your music is important and to keep making music. Thank you for all you've done for my friends.
Hello Mr Vedder
I’ve been a fan of your music for a very long time. I recently re-listened to the “into the wild” soundtrack and found a song I had never heard previously called “No More” I am a veteran of the Iraq war and it made me remember the horror of that place and all the senseless violence. My time time spent there opened my eyes to the nonsense that we’ve been taught about our role as patriots. it made me become completely anti war and I try to do what I can to enlighten those who think what happened there was justified. Your song rocks man, same with “masters of war.” I’m not sure how you captivated the pain of that place but you nailed it, I don’t think of celebrities anymore then any other regular person but I appreciate the messages you've brought into the world.
Respectfully, Dustin
Hi Eddie!
I'm Janina, but I prefer name Cloud or Julia. I'm only 15 and have only listened Pearl Jam few years. But in summer, end of july i fell deeply in love w your music. I struggle with my mental health. For some days and moments I have been so close to just gave up. I litreally didn't want to live, i was done. But your music, Pearl Jams music is what keep me going. And some days i was so done litreally about to kill myself but then I remember that i want to see you guys live. The dream and idea of seeing you and Pearl Jams gig is what keep me going. And your music makes my days so much better.
I hate probably sound dumb for saying this but I love Pearl Jam so much. Some songs mean so much for me and I don't understand how you can but so much into your lyrics. And the way all instruments work together is just amazing. You have awesome voice.
I know you probably don't see this and it's okay. I just wish I could thank you. Thank you and Pearl Jam, because I don't think i would be here without it. Legit.
I'm from Finland and my english kinda sucks so sorry for typos and just bad english in general. Maybe one day Pearl Jam will come here and I can see you guys live?
My parents are pretty toxic and I just cant wait for the day i can move out. But music is what's keeping me going. My dream is make music in any way. I also play guitar.
I hope my letter don't just sound cheesy and just cringe.
Hopefully you are doing good and thank you for everything. I wish i could just thank you but i feel like that isn't even enough.

Mr Vedder ,
My name is Chuck Huck (yes, my parents had a sense of humor), and this is the first time I’ve ever wrote to any kind of celebrity. I am a fan, but I never really view celebrities in a way other than just another human. My son though, he was a huge fan and a lover and true appreciator of all music (we connected with our mutual love of your music).
We live in a town about 45 minutes from Seattle called Port Orchard.. my son just graduated and was going to be leaving for college at the University of New Hampshire to pursue a degree in Journalism. Today is his 18th birthday, it is also the 2 week anniversary of my son drowning in a tragic accident. He was an amazing human, always giving more than he received. He volunteered 100’s of hours to the youth in the community and was truly a light.
At his funeral, the song we chose was ‘Just Breathe’. I’m 2 weeks into this journey without my son and I feel I know what I have to do, I need to help others going through tragedies like this…unthinkable tragedies.
My son who was passionate about writing and helping others, he needs me to do something, I feel I know how to honor him and keep his spirit alive, I need to write about this journey to recovery so that others can recover as well.
My son was incredibly thoughtful and I know that he would want me to get permission before using anything an artist has created. I would like to name the book ‘Just Breathe’ in honor of his love for music and the message many feel in that particular song. Without your permission, I will not use that title.
If you want to see what my son was about and the impact he made in others lives in his 17 years. Check out my Facebook page or Will Huck’s page or Instagram.
Thank you for your time,
Chuck Huck

Dear Eddie, I'm from Lawrence, Kansas. I was watching a clip of you and it said you were here in 1992. I didn't realize you were here. I'm sorry I missed you. I graduated from nursing school in 1978 and spent 41 years as a Psychiatric Nurse and Drug and Alcohol Counselor. Thank you SO MUCH for bringing mental health issues and teen suicide to light. And for your work with Social Justice. Sincerely, Laura Nash, RN
Eddie Vedder, I have to tell you how much your music has meant to me growing up. Your music has gotten me through an abusive ex husband. My parents and sister dying. Times that I thought I wouldn’t make it. I also named my 6 year old son after you his name is Vedder Levi-Ehren Hobbs. He even has a shirt that says in Eddie Vedders name sake! I love you and respect you so much! Thank you for all you do

Dear Eddie Vedder,
I’m from Ontario, Canada, and I’m a big fan of your music, along with my family. I’ve been listening to your music since I was eight, and I’m turning thirteen soon. I’ve asked for a couple of your CD’s for my birthday. Your music is very inspirational, and I love how you donate two dollars from every ticket you sell to help children with skin disorders. It’s really wonderful how you help the world out... especially with your music. One of my favourite songs of yours is “Given To Fly”, and “Once”.
The reason I’m writing this to you is because I have a couple of questions, so here it goes:
I don’t understand some of the lyrics in the song “Daughter”. One of the lyrics that confuse me are “ Don’t call me daughter, not fit to me/ The picture kept will remind me”. If you could answer this, I would be super grateful.
My next question is did you ask Dave Grohl to join your band? He’s also one of my favourite singers, and I heard somewhere that you had asked him to join Pearl Jam.
Those are my only questions for you.
Thank you for writing your amazing music and inspiring people all around the world.
Your fan,
Ruby
