Best voted letters to Kendrick Lamar
Dear, Kendrick Lamar. listen i am truly a big fan of yours. my name is Elijah salaam. i am 17 years old, and I like your style. For me you are one the rappers that is keeping lady hip hop alive. I really do like your style. you're very lyrical and your the metaphors and similes that you say are crazy. I'm very inspired by you and nasir jones. right now you and him are honestly the only two i can listen to because i can relate to it. I've had a lot of struggles in my life Kendrick and if you could at least look take attempt to look at my letter and write back to me to at least give me some feedback it will truly be an honor. furthermore I've had a lot of struggles in my life. i don't have a lot of family that i know about. well at least ones to help and support me. all that i have is my three brothers and mother. sometimes i don't even feel that's enough. as i move forward i made friends my family. i have a lot of friends that are there for me in the worst of times. though i feel as if i by myself. me against the world. just striving and griming for every last dime and penny. after a while i feel need to just drop down on my knees and give up. music has given me the strength. i love rap. I've been rapping ever since i was 11 years. i see myself being pretty lyrical. i tend to rap about the struggles that i go through in life. i was wondering if you could write back to me and take the consideration of somehow listening to one of my raps. i really i can do something with it because i take my rhymes very seriously. i generally rehearse everyday if i can. thank you so much Kendrick Lamar for putting up this website that ways your true fans can write to you. I just want to stop worrying about myself being financially unstable. I'm also hoping that i the future i could be apart of Top DAwg Entertainment. I think that I'll be a good asset to the team. thank you for your time and consideration. I'm hoping to hear back from. thanks a lot and keep on with tight rhymes brotha.
please anyone who views this please vote for this as if i see yours i'll votes for his or her too!

Cloud Nine
In 2001, at the age of 11 i first fell in love with hip hop.
Hearing that 2001 chronic album by dre for the first time coming from the addict of my brothers room, i was instantly sold to hip hop.
I loved the beats, the raps, and everything about it. Hiphop was my savior to express all my feelings and it still is.
When i almost turned 18 and i didn't know what to do in my life, i decided to go to LA. Doing This was the best thing ever happened in my life.
I just HAD to experience the vibe and energy of that place.
I followed a study there for 8 months and it right away felt like coming home
I... i fucking loved LA man.. I love just walking around there, the cars and busses, the malls, the hoods and the beaches, the culture, the mellowness, the sports... more than words can explain.
And it left me so many (crazy) memories.
Look K-dot...while im writing this, im on a level right now that its really hard for me to explain my feelings just typing these words....
Let me introduce myself..
My name is Quinten Blok, 23 years old, born and raised in Hoorn. A small city nearby Amsterdam. And im at a certain point in my life right now i gotta make some choices. ya bish..
A lot of things happen in my life right now,(girl, work) you know.... anyway..
Ive now. therefore, decided i HAVE to go back to LA, to sort things out a bit.
But most of all get the feeling of coming home again and just relax for a minute getting my mind straight.
I miss being in Los Angeles man.. You got to understand, youve been to Amsterdam right... it's the best, but LA...
So now im planning of going anywhere soon in 2014, cause i have a dream. Which might be ending up living in LA.
Look man... i dont want to look like another fan man, this isnt usually my shit to do but...
I just hope your still with me right now, trying to get what im trying to say..
Eversince i started listening your music man... OMG!!
You brought that same feeling i had listening to that 2001 album by dre!
That old skool type of bad ass, zone-off beats man... the timeless lyrics... the perfect voice for this shit, so hard!
I saw your show on youtube in The MilkyWay in Amsterdam like 15 times.
I have a map on with all your music on spotify which blasts' to my headphones daily!
You brought back that California westcoast hiphop flavor back man, and i love it!
Kendrick,
The Hardest thing for ME to do...
Is to get you... to know ME...
Im just praying man, one day we could meet. Even if its for just one minute to talk to you...
I would appreciate it so much if you would be willing to meet me, or for me to be able to go to one of your shows...
Much respect...
I salut you!
Quinten Blok
~Im dying of thirst, and pray that it works.~
Hey Kendrick , my name is Da'Shia Hall & I LOVEEEEE youuuu like ALOT . EVERYONE does lol . I'm a huge fan and I pretty sure you hear this all the time but you inspire me . You've inspired me to write poetry since I was 12. I wrote a poem about you just a few months ago called
"For The Love of Hip-Hop
Its the love of hip hop that flows through his headphones ,
when he's in the zone creating a verse .
Its the love of hip hop
that booms loud and prous
as he walks through the streets ,
caked with misunderstanding ,
but he ices it over with a beat and a smile .
Because no one understands why why
the movements of his feet are so swift ,
but it's the gift of hip hop
that bleeds , when the tongues of his shoes
have attainted the blues hes been walking on
It seems the sun shines through
the darkness of strife ,
that burdens his life .
Because hip hop is his wife
through sickness
and in health
through proverty
or in wealth
through birth,
or in stealh of alive .
Hip hop is the only reason he wants to be alive
Please everyone who views this like

"The Light"
Why Be In The Shadow, When I Can Be In The Light? Light Shines On These Rhymes Make Them As Bright As A Big Stoned Diamond. Shall I Shine On These Rhymes That Turn Into A Song? These Songs Come From The Heart, And The Strong Mind That I Have. These Shadows Will Not Defeat The Shine I Have When I Perform.
Dark As Night, Light By Day Let The Shine Uplift My Ways.
Let By God Shower Me With Prayers Of Gold And Not Bronze My Soul.
So Why Be In The Light
Im Not Afraid To Fight
The Shadows Aint Nothin
By The Day Ends Im Somethin.
Let My Words Touch People's Ears
And Not Show Any Fear.
So Let My Lyrics Show Power And Light
And Have Every Hater Out Of Sight.
So Let The Light Beam Down On Me
Then Things Can Go Well As Them Seem"
WRITTEN FOR YOU KENDRICK. LOTS OF LOVE xoxoxo
Heyyyy Kendrick! I Am Your Biggest Fan I Love Your Music So Much!!! You Really Have Brought Hip Hop Back To Life. I Salute You And The T.D.E Team 100% All The Way. I Love Ya Kendrick Lamar
Your a huge inspiration to me Kendrick, I'm a 14 year old and my life right now is nowhere near as bad as yours but I went through depression a couple of years ago and considered suicide, and with Good Kid Maad City that album really made me stop and think and let me know I wasn't the only person who felt like this. Being peer pressured and feeling down and chasing hoodrats, I've been through some of that, and your the dopest rapper to me. Your music whether it's your album or songs your featured in, I love it all. Your truly an inspiration to me and I hope to meet you at one of your concerts someday. What you've done for me just music wise is amazing, and you seem really relaxed and humble just like I am and I'm a huge fan and I write my own music and I always listen to you to get inspired, I'm going to one of your concerts as soon as I can and man I don't mean to ramble on but your my idol. As a person and a rapper, you've influenced my lifestyle just like 2pac influenced you, and hes also a big influence on me. Keep doing you Kendrick, don't sell out man I've been rocking to you for a year now and I will continue until you retire. Hoping for an album in 2014 but if it doesn't come I know it'll be worth the wait. Thanks Kendrick for inspiring me and being a mentor in my life.
Hey Kendrick,
Huge fan. My best friend Emily Quadros is an even bigger one. She fucking loves you man, favorite rapper all the way. This year, on her 18th birthday, Emily was stuck in the hospital all day getting chemo because, you see, she has cancer.
Or should I say 'had'. She just recently beat her cancer finally after a year of struggling with high dose chemo, surgeries, hair loss and isolation from her friends, all that only at 18 years old. She's the bravest, most amazing person I've ever met. And through all her struggle you were always there with her, your music keeping her strong and fighting for her life. One of the things keeping her going, her motivation, was knowing that she would see you live at Osheaga in Montreal August 4th 2013. She almost didn't recover in time to be able to attend the concert, which would have broken her heart, but luckily she has and is looking forward to seeing you more than anything. Man, I swear if you could see this girl, you wouldn't know she'd been sick: she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Everyone thinks so, all the boys in our school would give anything to get with her. She's too good for them though, all she wants is to see you. She's a good kid in a maad city, battling the circumstances that the world put upon her, idolizing her favorite rapper and looking to him to help her get through life. Sound familiar? One of your teachers once told you that the day you stop being scared to touch the people and talk to people, that's the day your mind opens up to so many things.
So I'm hoping that this letter gets to you Kendrick and that you could give Emily a shout-out or something when you perform at Osheaga in Montreal a week from now. That would be the greatest gift ever to my main bitch who has been through so much.
Thanks Kendrick
