My name is Catherine, I'm 15 years old, and I am a huge fan of Green Day. No, I'm not just another pathetic fangirl who has only heard the album "American Idiot". I am a dedicated fan, and you have been with me nearly all my life.
I was listening to Dookie when I was only seven years old. I have all of Green Day's albums. I must say that there isn't one single song by Green Day that I can say that I dislike, because, well, I love every single one of them. Your lyrics to your songs are so beautiful, that there have been times that I have been reduced to tears.
I am writing this letter, Billie, to just say one thing to you - thank you. Thank you for being there for me with your music, when friends and family weren't. Thank you for teaching me valuable lessons with your music. Thank you, Billie Joe, Mike, and Tré, for saving my life.
I don't mind if you can't reply to my letter, Billie Joe, I am aware that you are a very busy man along with Green Day, The Foxboro Hot Tubs etc. I know that you, Mike, Tré and Jason are all very busy working on your new album which is due out this year, that of which I cannot wait for. So maybe you won't even have the time to even read this letter, but I don't mind. I just wrote this to say how much you and Green Day mean to me, and to thank you for saving me.

Hey Billie,
I'm desperately trying to find the best Christmas present for my 13 year old daughter who's a huge fan of Greenday but especially you! I'm so hopeful for a letter to her, email or personalised message (her name is Isla Putland) She went to your most recent gig at Wembley and has since been educating everyone at school about who you are and getting them to listen to your music. I'm personally gutted that other parents haven't introduced their children to Greenday, what a disgrace... I'd be so grateful to anyone who votes for this letter, please please please!
Dear Billie Joe. my name is Berlin from Oregon and I'm 10 years old. I discovered Green Day a couple years ago when I was 8 or 9, and I heard a short clip of a cover of American Idiot while I was watching a YouTube video. In that video, there was only guitar and vocals. As soon as I heard it, I said, "Wow, I like the melody and guitar. I should listen to this song." I did some research on it and I found out it had some swear words. So, I was a bit bummed out because I wasn't normally allowed to listen to songs with swear words. So, I asked my dad if I could listen to this song specifically and he said, "You can listen to any Green Day song whether they have swear words or not," and that's how my Green Day addiction was born. And now, ever since then, I have adored your guys' music. It first started out as liking American idiot and Boulevard of Broken Dreams and stuff. But then I started listening to songs from all of your albums. And at this point, I'm obsessed with 38 of your guys' songs, including a lot of your acoustic songs. I love the acoustic version of Stay the Night, and the original, of course. And I'm writing this in 2024, so Saviors is relatively new, and still it's just as amazing as the older stuff. I love Saviors so much and I relate to it a lot. You guys have been amazing ever since 1987 when you started. I don't know what I would do without you and your music. I just barely missed it when you performed near me, so I hope you can tour at least one more time in America soon. I relate to almost all of the songs of yours that I like. You are my idols and I don't know what I would do without you guys. Anytime I'm sad, lonely, depressed, angry, or feel any emotion, I will turn on your music. I'm listening to Green Day so much. I listen to you guys to decompress at the end of a long day. (I'm also gonna send a physical letter as well btw, so I hope you see that one too!)
