I'm just another one of your fans, and I can not imahine how many fan letters and emails you get daily so this one may just be lost and you probably will m ot even look at it.. but I just wanted to tell you your song "I'd come for you" reminds me of the relationship me and my dad have. But different. My dad has a very complicated story but since the first day I heard that song I fell in love with it. You are a very talented singer and performer. I have been dying to see you guys perform live. I even set myself a goal. If I lose 100lbs I will do whatever I have to to go to one of your concerts. This will be one of the most unorthodox letters and requests you will ever receive, so bare with me please. My name is Joy and 25 years ago I foolishly got married at the wrong time, right man, Rick. For a million different reasons we drifted,carried on with our lives, children with others and all. Last year 2012, my elderly mother,(whom i cared for in my home), bucket listed my contacting my estranged husband Rick. I thought dementia had set in, and though now separated from the father of my children, what would the odds be he'd even talk to me. I found him through FB, and before I knew it, this truck driver man was rolling toward me... One of the calls he made to me, he said not a word, I just heard music, It was "Far Away"... It was perfect and I knew 25years later, I still loved him and he me. We are going to renew our vows in the summer of 2014. Hope beyond hope that I could be that one in a million that could request your presence July 19th 2014 on Lake Frances, Ontario... It was truly the most appropriate and romantic moment of my life when that song came through my phone...We are fans of Nickleback, (obviously) and any answer will obviously do, as this, at 48 years old, is the most absurd thing I have ever hoped for.....
