Dear Adele, It's my pleasure to write you altho you are a stranger. You were born just a few months before I got out of the Navy with my life. It was a turning point in my life. I am writing you because I listened to some of your songs and watched some of the Royal Albert Hall performances you did.
Well I will say you have inspired me because I am tired of hearing about people ripped out of obscurity in a seeming random lucky strike. They say to make your own luck.
I don't care about the destination, but I know the journey will be its own reward.
I guess its God's design, but beauty makes it more vivid. The inspiration you lent me I mean. Perhaps things work differently in the eternities.

I have been struggling with an eating disorder for a long time. A few months ago, I was hospitalized due to health problems associated with it. When I was in the hospital, I found a quote from you that said, "I make music for the ears, not for the eyes". That helped me get through. That really did. I also saw a quote from you when you talked about wanting to be on Rolling Stones, not Vogue and how music was what was important to you. You are in inspiration and you put things into perspective for me. I'm also a singer/musician and am attending Berklee College of Music starting this fall, but I always dismissed the music. I would put my eating disorder first until I started listening to your music and reading about you. You're so stunning and have so much pride and confidence. Dear Adele.
I know this letter will be lost or never be read by you, but I have a dream for my daughter and before I die, I will do anything for her so she can have her dream fulfillled.
My daughter is a 13 year-old singer songwriter and has done a lot already in the music field - she has won many awards for her songs. Lately, she has made the final selection for a local "Idol" contest which will take place on June 23 2013. It is not a big event but it would mean the world for her to win this.
This afternoon I sat down and decided to have a try at translating your amazing song "Skyfall". This is not the first time I have done this but I was never happy with the final product. For some reason, today was different. I ended up with an excellent version of it. I'm actually amazed it worked this time around. It was easy to find the words as if I was inspired from above.*** Translating from English to French is never an easy task, especially if we don't want to change the meaning of the message that is being given.
If one day you are interested in seeing my work, I will be happy to give it to you free of charge. However, if you read this before June 23 2013, I would have one request: To let my daughter sing the French version of your song during the Idol contest so she can win it. It would be a ONE TIME only deal and she would never perform it again. I know she would win with such a song!
I know my request might sound silly and I'm probably very stupid to think that it will ever happen but having lost my two parents to cancer last year, I know they are acting now in some strange way and looking after us. My mom and dad were very big fans of my daughter and were very proud of all of her hard work and her perseverance in never quitting. I imagine, You were having the same dreams as her not too long ago.
I wish you all the best with everything that is coming your way. From now on, my two angels will look after you too.
