Dear Adele.
I am British-Russian and am stuck in Russia at the moment because my sick elderly parents are here and I can't go to England because of the war. When my nostalgy for England becomes unbearable I put on your songs, for your beautiful voice helps me like no other to overcome sadness. But now my good English friend David is dying of terminal cancer in Hampshire. I have written a small poem as this seems to be the only way for me to try and come to terms with this. In my head I keep hearing how you sing this, I do think you would do an incredible song out of it. The poem is called "So long", it's got only 4 stanzas in it. Here it is. It would be incredible, if you took it on. Here it is:
