Hi Chris
My name's Mphatso and i'm a huge fan.I love you band's music,it really touches me.You're amazing on the piano, and your voice is flawless.I love how you manage to keep your lyrics figurative, and they how they always carry a message.I make it my job to analyse the songs. My favorite album's Viva La Vida or Death and all his friends.I've been trying to and hack into Cemetries of London and Strawberry swing, but just can't quite crack them. Also i don't get the term "Violet hill"(which by the way is my favorite song).I know the tracks from the album talk of war, religion, and love, and i also heard the theme of the album is The French Revolution, but i just can't understand those two.So please Chris, help me out. Most people would just goole it,but i wanna hear from you.Thanks.:-)
Yours truly.
Dear Chris Martin,
I am THE biggest fan of you and Coldplay. I always look up to you and your band! I'm a pianist too, and I love to sing!!! (Note: especially your songs.) You are my true idol and inspired me to become a better musician. I am working on covers of your songs. I read a short biography of you and your band, and recommend your music to all my friends and family. You are simply amazing. Thanks for reading.

I first listened to this song in college when going through some very dark times. I just stumbled across it on Spotify today, and had to put it on repeat. This may be the only song I've ever heard that resonates to my very soul. I am singing along as if I'd been listening every day for the last 10 years. Thanks for making music that says something.
Dear Chris:
Hello and Happy birthday!!!
I hope you are OK and having a hell of celebration. As I wrote you previously, still I'm hoping for you to see what I have wrote in honor to your music and also the band as well. In case you may want to see it, go here: www.poematrix.com and search for my name. There you'll see what I've wrote. It's much more better this way that trying to send my writings to you, which until now I haven't been able to.
Just in case (although this may look weird) this is my mail: dieguez@occ.co.cu (Please I'm asking to anyone who may know some way to get my writing to Chris, to help me) I've tried to do this for almost 4 years.
Have a nice day! in 13 days I'll have also 27!.
from one fish to another:
regards:
Daniel.
Hi Chris!
I´ve been on Coldplay´s concert in Prague. It was always my dream to see and hear you sing live. Before the concert I was talking with a guy who has been to your concert 5 times, I laughed at him that he is crazy to unnecessarily spending money and I told him for me is enough to hear you once. After the show the first thing I told him was that now I understand why he did that and that is definitelly not enough to see / hear you sing live only once or even twice. You didn´t make my day, you made my year. Thank you for that.
Silvia
Dear Chris:
It's been a while since I visited this website. I have seen my first letter is posted 14 place, and that's good.
You see, I have lost the competition about poetry, the one who if succeeded, would give some way to travel to see you and the band, to some concert or another place. Now the news that you'll take a three years break it's a little hard to all of us, the fans, but it's understandable. Everybody deserves a break in this live. I'm typing this letter on February 21, and I hope someone may give to you, a strong and great birthday party soon, since your (ours) birthdays are coming, mine March 15.. So you see, two fishes in this enormous world trying to move forward.
Uh! I still have all my poems there for you. I think you should read them someday. I'm pretty sure the will remember you the X&Y old times, and perhaps a little more. Who knows?
One last thing: Since sometimes I feel a little desperate waiting for the coming of some new album from you, I have made a special album only for me, with all the "lost" songs I could find on the Internet. I have called the Album: "Fallen Trees" and it contains 14 songs. It's like a pill for me when I feel "Low"...
I really hope this new letter may come to you soon. I haven't written any poem since the past 10 months.... Something is happening, and I wish I could tell you...I wish I could.
a strong hug:
daniel.
