Dear Coldplay Team,

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the ticket booking experience for your upcoming shows in India (Mumbai and Ahmedabad). As a devoted fan who did everything to witness your first-ever performance in India through Global Citizen, I had high hopes for a seamless and transparent process this time. Unfortunately, the reality has been far from that.

The ticket booking process through BookMyShow has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the very moment ticket sales began, it was evident that ticket scalping was rampant. Genuine fans are left struggling to secure tickets, while the secondary market thrives with inflated prices. There appears to be no transparency in the ticket allocation or sale process, leaving fans feeling exploited.

BookMyShow, the official ticketing partner, has acted in ways that can only be described as fraudulent. Their practices suggest an agenda to mint money at the expense of fans' emotions. Black-marketing of tickets has become a norm, and they seem complicit in enabling this. As proof of these unethical practices, I’d like to direct your attention to ongoing discussions on social media:

Coldplay tweets on X/Twitter
BookMyShow event page for Coldplay
These platforms highlight the collective frustration of many true fans who feel alienated and let down by a system that prioritizes profit over fairness.

I sincerely request your intervention in this matter to ensure that future ticket sales are conducted with transparency and fairness. Fans like me, who have supported and admired your work for years, deserve better.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I hope you’ll address these concerns promptly.

Best

Hi Chris
I am such a massive fan and I just cannot ever get tickets to see you play live. Yet again I have missed out. I brought the cd and hoped the presale would come good it didnt! I was on ticket master 3 different accounts 3 different dates why is fair that these agents are allowed to buy tickets and then sell them an hour later for double the price its just not fair on the fans nor is it ethical Big miney is being made and true fans like me are left heartbroken

Dear Chris,
I have been watching your set on the pyramid stage Glastonbury playing fix you an seeing Michael J Fox playing along made me cry, brought back happy an said memories. I meet my wife in 2000 I was 50 years old she was an independent social worker working very long hours helping children that had been sexually or physically abused. In 2010 she became ill and after many sleepless nights me sitting up with her as she screamed in pain with her right leg that was gangrenous and had to be amputated below the knee, she had to give up work an got into debt had to sell her house, we moved in to a rented property and was getting along ok until 2017 and she started having problems with the left leg the same thing was happening the doctor advised us to go to A&E straight away but we were getting married the next day Sep 23 2017 so we said would go next day after wedding, the wedding was a small affair an the song I chose to have played was Fix You as I had tried everything I could to fix her but couldn’t, we spent our wedding night in A&E not very romantic but we were together. After 3 weeks in hospital her left leg amputated below the knee, I was with her everyday when she was in hospital giving her support an still doing what I could to fix her. I gave up work when she got home to care for her, again few are doing ok my wife is permanently in a wheel chair an house bound most of the time but she has recently stated doing volunteer work sitting on fostering panel from home again helping children in need. Every time I hear Fix you I cry remembering our wedding day an the very long wedding night spent in A&E. thank you for the song Fix You an many other great songs from Coldplay. If you ever get to see this letter please remember my story next time you sing fix you, it means so much to me an my wife. On top of all my wife had gone through she had to try an support me as during 2010-2013 I was being treated for prostate cancer an all so had open heart surgery.

Hi Chris, I'm Enzo, an Italian fan of yours. Last year I had the pleasure of living the first concert in Naples as my first ever concert and I would like to thank you and the boys for that unforgettable moment. What perhaps made that experience even more felt was what staff was tied to that concert. I bought tickets to go with my ex-girlfriend because she had the desire to see one of your concerts, she was always extremely related to Viva la vida because it was the final song of every dance concert of hers. Unfortunately after 4 years of engagement our story ended in a very bad and felt way taking me into a depressive stage heavy enough to bear. I saw your concert in a sold out stadium but with an empty seat next to me. But life has absurd plans and fate led me to meet a new person I now love and who helped me a lot out of that dark period. I met her thanks to you because she too lived the experience of the concert, only in Milan. Your concert marked for me the transition from what was my previous life to the new, it drew a line in the sand. I would have liked to finish this journey by crowning it with the Rome concert with my girlfriend Elisa but unfortunately I couldn't get the tickets. I know you probably won't even read this story but know that I want to say thank you, thanks to you and the boys because indirectly, with a concert, with your music and your vitality you helped me. If it won't be in Rome, I promise that one day Elisa and I will come and see you again.
