Our bucket List Item: Run up to the edge of the Cliffs of Moher and, from the edge of Ireland, shout out loud! (While listening to “The Planets Bend Between Us”)
My name is Alecia. I am from Kelowna, Canada. I left by myself to travel India and eventually finished in London. My two fellow adventurers (my boyfriend Kyle and best friend Brittany who surprised me by meeting me in London) we all had this bucket list item to complete so with no plan ahead of time, we bought ferry tickets to Ireland!
At the cliffs we covered our eyes so as to only see them during chorus one. We played the song, opened our eyes and began our run up the grassy slope! If wind, sun, song and a sprint could mix to such a perfect harmony, we did not know it until this moment! Chorus one came and so did an unexpected barbed wire fence... behind a foot deep moat of mud. So with ripped clothes, tears of joy and muddy hands and feet did we lift our arms and shout out loud on the edge of Ireland to chorus two!
We will all be coming to your April 30th concert in Vancouver!
If it is not too late, and If this message goes anywhere, we would simply hope that “The Planets Bend Between Us” might be played at this show!
Thank you so much for this beautiful song and the incredible memory it has given us three!
Snow Patrol has helped me keep my sanity.
Dear Gary,
I simply wanted to let you know that your music has saved me countless times. I'm Mariana Reyes. I became a fan at the age of 13 and my appreciation for Snow Patrol has only grown as today I am 17 years old. Snow Patrol is without a doubt my favorite band and I'm only upset that I have never gotten the chance to see you play live. You're never in Chicago, IL :(. When you played in Portugal and Mexico, I was honestly all too close to buying plane tickets -- you wouldn't believe it...
Lately, times haven't been easy because I'm becoming disillusioned by life. I know that's something ridiculous to say, but it's just the easiest way to put it. I decided to write to you as my AP English "letter to a celeb" subject. I admire everything you have endured. I am a junior in high school and my English assignment includes a letter, and me asking you if you would do me a major favor. Would you write me a letter of recommendation for college? It would seriously help me... I want to become a pediatrician and specialize in oncology. I want to help all those kids who as in today's time "cannot be helped". I would include a résumé and everything for you to see. If you cannot find enough time to do so, it's fine as I do understand you're crazy busy. I just hope somehow, someway you read this just so you may know that someone out there appreciates everything you do.
If you do decide you can help me, you can follow me on Twitter (@LetsLeaveTown) or simply reply to my letter that will be arriving soon.
Thank you for your time. :)
Sincerely,
Mariana.
Hi Gary. My son is a huge fan of Snow Patrol. On the spur of the moment he has decided to travel from Brisbane Australia to see you in concert in Washington on Friday 11th April. If you could give him a shout out during the concert that would be fantastic. His name is Mark Seeley. Living in hope. Regards.Maureen Seeley.

Gary,
My wife and I live in Arizona in the US and both love Snow Patrol . One Christmas we gave each other surprise presents. Neither of us of course knew what we were receiving.
She gave me mine first which was a S P show in Austin, Tx with airline tickets. I gave her her gift and it was a S P show in Seattle with airline tickets. We were so fortunate to see you twice within weeks of each other.
Many thanks to you and the fellas for countless memories over the years.
Hello Gary, I used to live in Bangor Co.Down, near Ballycrocan Rd.
Going through my Parents Photo album I've come across a photo of an Elsie Lightbody (her wedding) circa early '60s. The reason the photo was in the family album was because we lived across the road of a Mrs Lindsay who was either a cousin/friend of a Mrs Lightbody (in those days we, as children didn't know their Christian names) and I know the house Mrs Lightbody lived in on Ballycrochan Rd, my parents would have known Elsie, that's why the photograph is there.
I'm just wondering if you or any of your family would like it incase they are doing a family tree.
PS. i'm not on Twitter or X so trying to contact you this way.
If you'd like this photograph, if it is in fact a relation of yours, please let me know and i'll send it to you.
I feel proud
of you, as you are a Bangor local boy "done good"
Ali
Hi Gary,
My brother has been in a band for some time, he’s from Warrenpoint NI, they were looking for their break but think I ruined it for them. Please see attached link to hear their music. He’s the singer and song writer. https://breakingtunes.com/thesilentson
