I am the mother of now adult children who were/are fans of your band, Infact, many years ago, the Killers were the opening band for my son's garage band- called "Introspect" You played together New Years Eve at the M & Ms candy place on the strip. (they never pursued a music career). Years later, an agent from LA approached my husband to have one of your videos filmed at our place of business in LV- it was the video with little people and a donkey, One of the conditions was for us to receive an autograph from the band to be sent to our daughter, The promise in my opinion was not honored. When I called the agent that represented your band, all we received was a scribble on a piece of typing paper, I considered it an insult to my intelligence. I know you most likely were never aware of the negotiations as regards that video, but tonight when I saw the Killers playing at Alligent stadium, it brought back this unpleasant memory, Perhaps, you would consider righting this wrong, Thank you for your time and attention, Mrs, Mehling

I am a good fan of The Killers but I am writing you because of my ex girlfriend who is the BIGGEST fan of you. Well I am not used to do things like this but even if are passed some months from when she broked up and she always was insecure about my feelings for her, I just want give her a big sign in front of the world that I am not and never been scared of tell her what I felt and feel till now, then obviously I'm not shy to admit it. Dear Brandon Flowers,
I am writing this letter to you because I find myself unable to be at peace until you know the impact you have made upon me within my life. Everyday I start by listening to your music before work, I do not know how I would make it through my day without hearing those sounds. When I get to work the first thing I remember to tell myself is to "be a positive influence on the world". And by the time I go to bed it is your music that comforts me after the troubles of the day, whatever they might be. It is by your influence that saved me from the darkness and brought me back to the light of my faith. It is because of you that I have been able to turn my back to the glorious temptations of drugs and alcohol so often brought to bear before me. It is because of you that my opinion of not wanting to have children one day has changed for the better so that I can experience that open chamber in my heart that you so often speak of having for your boys. And it is because of you that I recognize the importance of being confident in your work and not apologizing for being good at what you do. In my life it has been a dream of mine to be able to meet you and be able to tell you all of this in person, but after many years and concerts later I feel that if that day never comes, I need to be able to give you this message somehow (even though I will not give up on attempting to deliver this message in person). In the end mr. Flowers, I am not a saint, I make poor decisions like everyone else and occasionally act crappy to those who deserve more from me, but I can honestly say that the majority of good decisions and deeds that I have made throughout my life are due largely to the impact you and your music have made on me. So, why am I telling you this, you might ask? Because you are my hero Brandon Flowers, it's as simple as that. Thank you for giving me my life back and for introducing me to one that I didn't know I wanted.
