Hi Mark!
I'm Haleigh, 14 and from Chicago, and I'm so glad I discovered you guys! Granted I only found out about the band a few weeks ago, and I wish I'd known about Foster the People much sooner, but I feel like I'm as big a fan as any long-timer. The first song of yours I've heard, as many may guess, is Pumped Up Kicks, but soon after listening to that song I decided to check out what you guys were all about. And what I found out, I loved immediately.
For one, I'm so used to listening to pointless songs about cars, drugs, and clubbing that it was such a refreshing change to listen to music with meaning. I feel like I can relate every one of your songs to a real-life concept, and it's amazing. I read several of your interviews and I love how you said you 'get into character', when you write songs, and how you want to feel the emotions that your character would experience. It's great that with each song you're unearthing a totally new world.
I love you guys for your musical talent, and I think you're all truly unique! Not to mention the AMAZING directors you must have for your music videos -- they're unreal! Just watched the new one for Houdini today, and I loved it. I thought it was the best so far! Send your directors a thank you and please encourage them to continue with their astounding work.
Even though I only discovered Foster the People a short while ago, I'm in love with you guys. I'm going to see your concert in June, though I haven't decided which day yet (I have a whole gaggle of Foster fans with me and we have to confirm a day), but I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun! It would be a total DREAM to get to meet you guys, though I know it's highly unlikely I'll ever get to. You all seem very down to earth.

My name's Justyna, I'm 14 and I come from Poland. I write to you, because I really really like your music. And I know more songs than Pumped up kicks ofc ;))When I heard PUK first time ( my friend showed me it and I'm glad that she did it) I didn't liked it very much, but when I heard acoustic version I fell in love with it. And now I like both versions of PUK. Other songs I found on YouTube and lastfm. I love 'Don't stop' and my favourite version of it is with electric guitar ♥! I like also acoustic version of Helena beat, Houdini etc. In a fact all Foster the People's songs are amazing. They always give cheers and I forgot about all my problems. I think that your voice is just awesome. It's amazing that in one moment your voice is really high and after 10 seconds it's awfully deep and I love it. I'll be the happiest person in the world if you come to Poland in 2012 or 2013! There's a lot of people who wait for your performance in Poland. Probably you'll think that I'm next stupid teen fan who thinks that know everything about your group, because she heard PUK, but I'm not !

I am your fan! I am twelve and I love your music.Foster The People is fantastic! You are a superb singer and also wonderful. I hope I could meet you someday, but I think it has been difficult since I'm in south-east Asia actually in Indonesia. But it's okay I won't stop loving you and other members and also your music! Hey Mark, How is life. You know so I am what a pre teen and I love your music. i thought Pumped up Kicks was cool but when I heard Helena Beat, Waste and Call it What you want I am addicted to them. They are really cool. I even write down your bands name in my hands. I wish i could go to one of your concerts. And I am! I also think you guys are really cute. :D I even cried when i told my mom for the concert and she said no. She said she would buy me the tickets later though. I just hope there are still seats. :D

hey mark. i just turned 13and i love your music. the first time i heard (pumped u kicks) i understood it right away. i would love if u could do a concert in El Paso TX. probably hear this alot but it would mean a lifetime to me if i got to meet u. there's like 1 in a zillion chances that'll happen but ur music inspired me "when it gets tough u can handle anything u put ur mind to"

Dear Mark, The first song i heared from you was pumped kicks, That was my favorite song for the longest time. Then i heared the album torches and i just fell in love with your music, I was very suicidal And i still am, But everytime i got to my breaking point, And about to pull the trigger, I would pop in you cd, Something just connected. And i would think to myself, How is music saving my life? Just the other day i found out about the song Ruby, When i listened to it, i just started to cry. That song is truly amazing. Mark, i just really wanted to thank you for saving my life. All you guys at that. I've been wanting to write you for a while. Your music is truly amazing and thank you for saving my life so manny times, I really wanna go to one of your shows, But none of them are close to Oklahoma, But when i can go to one i will, And i plan to follow a tour of yours if possible. Houdini just makes me go into my happy place and Call It What You Want makes me feel like I can do anything. Pumped Up Kicks is LEGENDARY as well as Ruby. Love is one of my top favs!
