Hi, Just in Case, this is actually Justin Bieber, a quick letter.

Having followed your career, and the careers of many famous pop artists, I wanted to send some inspiration.
First off, on the topic of "Fame". It is what it is, but you're still you. Be good to yourself, keep focused on things in life that make you happy outside of the vicious cycle of "entertainment" news and gossip, praising you one moment and throwing you under the bus the next, that will never change, but keep focused, centered, remember who you are, not the constructed media "you".

Timing. At this point in your music career, I know it's absurd for a complete stranger to give opinions or suggestions, indulge me. I think it's time to "strike while the iron is hot", musically. Everyone is noticing the "sound the same" problem right now in pop/dance music. A lot of top 40 stuff sounds like one big long song, all the same. Looking back at M.J.'s strong early stuff, "Off The Wall" and "Thriller", there was some "Funk" happening in those songs that really made them stick out. I think NOW would be a great time to collaborate with the likes of Nile Rogers, Quincy Jones, Prince, etc., to make a very Funky Pop statement that doesn't sound like the usual flat electronic stuff coming out these days. It's obvious you've got some groove, expand on it, find a producer to fan that Funky Groove Flame. I'm not implying you should "copy" M.J., but rather expand on your own personal groove and style, make it truly YOU, from the inside out.

I just caught a sound bite of the new Daft Punk record, Random Access Memory, wow! Nile Rogers' vibe is all over that stuff, and it rocks. I think new form of old-school "Funk" are the next wave in pop music, and I think you my friend are perfectly situated to spear head it and come out on top.

These are just my thoughts, but I know a few things about pop music. Keep on Keepin' On.

a Fan,
