i know it is VERY unlikely you will read this but im 11 and ive got a big dream like you did when you were my age and ive also got a mini band with my friends and we all love you sooooooo much and you inspire us all, you are an amazing person and you are sooo talented! your songs are the best songs and your such a unique artist! i rehearse songs and dances even when my friends aren't with me! i adore to dance and sing sooo much just like you do! i even did 6 hours of dancing and singing on saturday and 7 hours of dancing and singing on sunday! non stop! thats how much i love to dance and sing! and your the reason why! you've inspired me soo much and your my idol! my friends and i would love to meet you! we all want to be on stage dancing and singing!!!

Hi Ms. "B" - Chances are you'll probably never read this letter or even get near it; but i'll give it a shot anyways. First, let me say I'm from the ol' school, someone that lives of the lyrics of Lionel Richie, the Manhattans, Smokey Robinson, Michael Jackson etc.,. Pls don't feel insulted because I didn't mention your name in the list. The truth is you have a lovely voice and a champion entertainer in all aspects of the word.

My reason for writing is simple- I need your help. I currently live in Toronto, Canada-but was born in a Caribbean Island called Trinidad and Tobago. I believe you were there two years ago for the carnival.

No! I'm not inviting you for carnival. It's something more important than that. You see, in Trinidad we have a system of leaders that cares very little about children. Our children are being neglected badly through poverty as one example. However, our children are being raped, murdered and decapitated in some instances.

Asking the government for financial assistance to provide services for our children is never acceded to there's always a bunch of red tape that denies that help.

I have been trying to raise funds so that I can take a team of children service providers from Toronto to run the agency I had organized. As you may know, in the US and Canada, we have great child care providers, councilors and people that care deeply for children. Finding that kind of help in Trinidad is almost impossible.

I was hoping that perhaps if you have a few hours of your time you could come to Toronto or even to Trinidad so we can hold a benefit event to raise funds to take these professionals to Trinidad and start the agency running. I would be more than happy to name the agency after you.

I'm having a hard time sleeping or even eating when I think of what our children in Trinidad and Tobago have to live through and in many cases, die.
